Can I claim Shopee or Lazada purchases for tax in Malaysia?
It depends entirely on WHAT you bought, not where you bought it — the relief follows the item, never the shop.
There is no "online shopping" relief. A book, a laptop or a smartphone bought on Shopee or Lazada is claimable on exactly the same terms as one bought in a shop; a pair of shoes or a phone case is not claimable anywhere. What matters is that the receipt or order record clearly shows the item, the amount and the date, so you can show what was actually bought.

Whether a claim helps depends on the rest of your year — what else you have already claimed against the same limit, and what tax you owe. The calculator works it out from your own figures, free and without an account.
