Malaysia tax relief YA 2026: what's confirmed, and what isn't
LHDN has not published the Year of Assessment 2026 relief table. Anyone showing you a complete list of YA 2026 relief amounts today is not reading it from LHDN, because it does not exist yet.
Last checked against LHDN: 4 September 2026
We check LHDN's official relief page and republish this page when it changes. This date is the last time a person actually looked — it is not generated automatically.
What this means for you right now
The most recent complete, official relief set is YA 2025, and it is what Fiskal calculates with. If you are filing this year, or planning what to spend before 31 December, YA 2025 is the set to work from — every figure with its official source.

Budget 2026 announced a new relief for domestic tourism — entrance fees to registered tourist attractions and cultural performances, separate from the lifestyle relief. It was reported widely in the press at the time.
We are not printing an amount for it, and we are not adding it to the app. A Budget speech is an announcement of intent; the rule that a taxpayer can actually claim is the one in LHDN's published text, and that text is not out. Reported figures have already disagreed with each other on other YA 2026 changes.
Why we would rather say “we don't know yet”
Every tax figure in Fiskal carries its official LHDN source and the Year of Assessment it belongs to. That rule has no exception for a figure that is probably right, or one a competitor has already published. A relief amount quoted for the wrong year, or before it is law, is not a small error — it is the kind that reaches someone at the moment they are filing.
So this page will stay as it is until LHDN publishes. On the day it does, the figures reach the guide, the calculators and the app together, because all three read from the same engine.
What to do in the meantime
- Keep your receipts as you go. Whatever the YA 2026 caps turn out to be, an unclaimed relief is almost always a lost receipt rather than a rule nobody knew.
- Use the YA 2025 set for planning. Most reliefs carry forward year to year in shape, even when an amount moves.
- Check back here, or let Fiskal tell you — the app updates when the rules do.
Common questions about YA 2026 reliefs
- What are the tax reliefs for YA 2026 in Malaysia?
- LHDN has not published the YA 2026 relief table yet. The most recent official, complete set is YA 2025. Budget 2026 announced a new domestic tourism relief, but the official LHDN text setting out how to claim it has not been published.
- Why do other websites already list YA 2026 relief amounts?
- Most are repeating press coverage of the Budget 2026 speech, or each other. Those reports have disagreed with one another. Until LHDN publishes, no one can state the claimable rules, so Fiskal does not print an amount.
- Which Year of Assessment should I use now?
- YA 2025 — it is the latest complete official set, and it is what Fiskal calculates with. Malaysian reliefs change year to year, so always check the year attached to any figure you are given.
- Will Fiskal update when LHDN publishes YA 2026?
- Yes. The website guides, the calculators and the app all read from the same tax engine, so the YA 2026 figures appear everywhere at once, each carrying its official source.
